It has strong antiseptic properties and a nice aroma of cloves. It is one of the strongest anti-virus and anti-bacteria components in aromatherapy. This oil is used to produce very expensive perfumes. In cosmetics, it used in foot care (athlete’s foot), in aromatherapy, in treatment of colds, flu and in skin-cleansing mixtures, liquid insect repellents and mouth care. It is effective in removing warts. The oil has also tranquilizing properties, hence is recommended in fits of hysteria and high tension.
